Why are the porn links still on threads? Can't someone go in there and delete them? Just curious.

Another question, am I allowed to curse on this forum? Not in any kind of negative way of course. Sometimes, I want to get a certain point across and I feel that the only way I can do this is by adding f words. Not towards anyone in any way, just your general talk. As long as it's being used in a constructive manner, is that allowed?

You can pretty much do whatever you want. Case in point, current thread below this is a tank sold from a member who doesn’t meet the minimum. Wasn’t taken down, has been up for at least a couple of weeks

Good question about the porn link. I was going to ask that my self. I really like this forum and most of the people in here. Too bad there is something like that is going on in here but life is not perfect. Its what we make of it.

Great point taken, thanks for your comment! I really appreciate it! There was a lot of reasons why I wanted to stop cursing a few years ago. Mostly because I found myself being in a negative shell. Anytime I would curse, I would tend to over-react a little bit more than I would have otherwise. Of course, over-reacting is another problem in itself. For that reason, I wanted to seriously minimize or quit cursing all together. Since then, I've decided to curse only when I have good things to say. But the truth is that I still curse when I get upset at a certain set of circumstances and that's not necessarily a good thing. I thought maybe since I'm here anonymously, me being "happyreefer", that I could get away with it and be excused, just like how my long time friends wouldn't mind much. There's no way I can get away with this around my family members. I realize now, after seeing your comment, that it's better to not use profanity to make any kind of point what so ever. Especially my positive or constructive comments. It really doesn't make much sense at all. Thank you again for your comment!!

That's unfortunate. Porn is a big problem for a lot of people. I wish maybe he/she can at least assign someone to moderate this kind of thing and other problems that are lurking.

This is the wild mutha fuckin west here. Let’s keep it like this. That’s what makes this community great. There is a wide variety of people we all have different points of views. The world is so effin PC these days it’s ridiculous.

I’m going to be totally real. I use to try to police these boards but then came to the realization that if the owner and mod don’t give a flying fuck then why should I. I mostly just found myself having a fun time talking shit to people, as I was once called an ass hole for giving away a free anemone.

But now I careless about monitoring people.

I've never been offended by language or words, but context is everything. I think people should be allowed to speak freely, as long as you're not being a dick about it or saying something harmful. If you want to be censored, then join R2R and let them edit or delete your posts because they don't like your language, who you are, etc... Most of this should be common sense, but I find that common sense is becoming harder to find these days.
I also find it funny that people think posting porn sites will gain them new customers, as if no one knew how to find porn? Happy reefing!

That's exactly my point. The best way to get to know someone is by letting them be who they are. Being a fairly new member here, I just wanted to ask if that was allowed. Happy reefing!
