Is RC really still down for ‘maintenance?’ That’s like 3 days consecutive.

That seems to be the case for sure, more going to FB groups. I don't really understand it, forums are so much easier to find the information you're looking for and are able to provide a marketplace for livestock.

SCR seems to be more active outside of the marketplace recently so that's nice to see.

Omg I just had a discussion with some kid on Facebook the other day because he used bayer insecticide in tank as a whole tank pest treatment

He then tried convince me that a whole tank treatment with bayer wasn’t as bad as I make it sound. I’m like bro bayer in known to cause cancer in human and would really mess you up or kill you if you interested it. Now his fish and corals are now living in those chemicals. What do you think is happening to them? He did mention that the treatment killed all his shrimp and cleanup crew.

Yea dip cause there way more sensitive. But long term his fish and corals would get stressed and pass

..and the social media scholars say so...

Eric.. Not calling you out.. hope you dont think so but in our hobby we have a lot of speculation with not a lot of citing references.
I know what you mean. Like 8y I ran a 300g system with out a skimmer and a very large algae turf scrubber. So many people said I was doing things wrong and my system was going to fail fast. That tank to this day is still one of the best tank I had. Then now look almost 8y later so many people running ats.

Another thing that makes me laugh is the old train of thought how people would say you want dam near 0 phosphates and nitrates. Now a days that train of thought has totally changed but there’s still those old thought people that will still die on the hill of near 0 nutrients.

I’m just wondering how a chemical that is known to cause cancer that kills insects wouldn’t do some type of damage to the health of the living organisms inside a glass box.
