Reef Room40 Tank Build

So I recently participated in the SCRM IE tank tours {WOW!} and it really inspired me to start a build thread to document my tanks progress. This will be more for me than you all.

I transferred a packed a 50gal cube to an Eshopps Mariner 130 and an Aqua Japan 80 gallon frag tank. Both tanks will be on the same system, I plumbed the stock Mainer sump to a AA custom sump for more room for equipment. Plan is for the Mariner to be mixed and Aqua Japan SPS.

Almost 2 month update

Tank is filling in, it’s been tough not to blow my load before RAP but I’m trying. Went through some dinos and hair algae but were dealing with it. Here are my new additions:

59” Quanta helix meso blue (hope I don’t get banned for mentioning) might add another

Picked up a healthy blue tang @dpoltsdsu and a copperband to take care of some aptasia

Also picked up a couple torches from Kung Fu in SD and a nice WD from a local reefer

FTS..I have a few multi-head dragon tamer torches all on the sand bed available for trade, SPS or mushrooms.

Nice! I love the Quanta/Kessil combo. That’s what I’m using over my son’s tank. The Meso Blue has to be one of the best bars out there. I’m a huge Quanta fan and love what Luca is doing.
