I have two, one old with the aquabee pump and a 600i. Both are awesome skimmers, as I hate skimmers with a lot of moving parts, etc

I'm rocking the 1000i great skimmer.

On the pump topic I have both the Eheim and the Sicce. The Eheim I have had for about 15 years. The Sicce is newer, only 8y.

I would recommend both equally but I can say the Eheim so far has lasted a long time.

I actually run Reef Octopus Various Pumps on my display now because I like to be able to buy a big pump and run it on low, then on occassion run it on high. I'm weird like that.

I have a Sicce 7.0 on my 50 gal next to my home work station & I don't hear anything. Max schedule is set to 10% though. I went big in case the softy/macro tank goal doesn't stay on track.
