My ricordea mushroom decided to pick up and move halfway across the tank, rehoming itself on a frag tile with a torch. Although the tentacles have not reached the ricordea yet, I am worried that the torch will eventually sting the ricordea to death. What are some good ways to remove the ricordea from the tile without it becoming upset and melting away?

Can you post a pic? Use an orange filter if you're running blue LEDs so we can see in detail.

Here is the photo. Sorry it is not too clear because the corals are in the back of the tank.

I would just let them be for now and see what happens. In the meantime, you can make sure that the flow is going in the direction away from the ricordea, that way any sweepers will go in the opposite direction.

The frag tile is pretty thick so I am uncertain I can cut through it.
My professional advice is "i
