Rob's 7g Invert Only & Amphipod Madness

Hi All. I gave trying to cultivate amphipods and landed on the seeding method. 4 days ago hit 'send' on purchase of 500 amphipods from www.aquaculturenurseryfarms.com . The package came 2 days later and I didn't see a single DOA animal. When I opened the container it looked like waaay more than I needed, but I said screw it because I've been wanting to hit send on that order multiple times over the last few years..
So, fast forward, after introducing them all to the tank they seemed all survive! how awesome? and within half a day almost all of them disappeared into the cracks, caves and crevices. Then this morning i fed my hermies and boom! they came out for a feast.. I'm so happy right now that I have to share the vid. Thanks for checking it out!

Thanks for the link I’ll be needing some soon. I wonder how long they last in the bottle, if I should buy now and hold them for a couple weeks?

I added them right away. And all survived.
I wouldn’t leave them alone long. I think it was good that they were able to immediately scatter and bury and hide and probably plenty of food all over for them to chomp on

Yea I was thinking the same thing, I called the number to ask them about it but no answer maybe there closed on Sat.
I’m gonna call them Monday morning and find out. $19.99 is a great deal wouldn’t want to pass it up.

Handling is probably box cost and shipping has shot up to 60 plus for overnight. Pretty crazy.
