RRocky's 1st saltwater tank...Ecomini 14

Wassup everyone at SCR!!! So I started out with this after I got hooked to the TV show tanked LOL I love fancy golds

Frengs were clowning LOL so I started to do some research into the salt world. Forums help out a lot. Found the ecomini 14 in the marketplace here from Chris at LetsTalkReef. He gave me a good deal on the tank and a Kessil A150. My homeboy is a carpenter and built me a dope stand and here are some pics.

Visited Vivid for some LR and some water. Scaped and filled and started my cycle.

Picked up a cleaning crew, a shrimp, and a maroon clown...went to a LFS called rainbow in the valley and couldn't pass up on him.

Then picked up some coral from rainbow too.

Then a wrasse and some GSP

Wrasse didn't last the night, fack! He ended up jumpin smh...Clown wins.

This is just a quick timeline from October til now...our son was born in December and the goldfish tank was neglected. I only have the black ranchu left. The salt tank is doin well but nothing new. I felt limited due to size and being a new dad is not easy...especially working nightshift! Now that my son is 7mos old and im used to being a dad now, its time for an upgrade/real reef tank! I'm in touch now with Tony at OCReefMadness and will probably contact Coral Gazers as well for my next setup. I love the shallow reef look. Dims I'm lookin for are around 40x24x14/48x30x16? Somewhere around there lol! I'll keep yall posted. Comments and suggestions for my next build are welcome. Super noob here lol

It looks like you're really hooked now and in contact with the right people to upgrade. Tony and chad are both awesome.
