question would be :
what salt are most of you using?
I'm thinking of switching to red sea
currently was using tropic marin pro for years but been hearing that is has not been the same
makes me wonder what is going on , i did loose a couple things out of the blue so I'm left wrestling with my thoughts on if it was due to my salt or my mistakes i made
any how we learn from mistakes but if we use something that is no good than only thing we can do is stop using
what do you think ? salt or mistake's...

Is anything wrong with your tank? If not then no use in changing. But if you’re seeing that your current salt can’t Keep up with demands then you have your answer

tp or Brightwell are too for me. Completely lab bad. Ted sea is harvested. Possibly can introduce dinos, algae’s,... in cyst forms
Good info. on Red sea salt. Thanks. I had been used Tropic marine, Brightwell and Instant Ocean without algae issue. Just switched to Red sea pro salt and got hair algae issue in the tank.

Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, people are having trouble with Tropic Marine manufactured from Turkey. I switched to Tropic Marine from Red Sea coral pro salt 5/6 months ago and haven't seen any negative effects so far. I switched to Tropic to try and maintain my dkH 8-9

Red Sea dkH was around 11-12

Tropic Marine dkH is around 8

I didn't mean that as negative or implying there is something wrong with their product, I meant it as that's all I have seen based on my experience using their product.
Gotcha. Either way, anyone with a batch from turkey should stop using it. No one knows what it’s doing/will do

The bucket says where it’s from
I think all the buckets say that. It’s just standard printing.
I work for a beverage company and our water says it’s bottle out or riverside ca. but it’s actually bottled in Las Vegas nv. But the hub facility and market unit is riverside ca so the bottles say riverside ca.
