Hello Everyone!

Well 2011 is almost here so I wanted to start getting the word out about the first SCRK meeting of 2011!

As always, Age of Aquariums offers 10% off everything in the store during the meetings for everyone in attendance. (For 2011 paid members, this discount is everyday)

We will post more information as it comes, I am just excited and want to start this year off right! Come support the club, new and old members! All are welcome!

Because who doesn't want to hang out with a bunch of reef nerds, maybe win a prize or two, trade and sell frags in the Club Frag Tank provided, and just plain have a great time on a Sunday evening with friends!

I should probably go to this meeting since I haven't even gotten my membership card.

my membership card is awesome... it does all kinds of things... if i unfold it, it doubles as a spare key... pretty dope...

it also has magical properties... it glows when orks are near, and is made from mithril so it doubles as a bullet proof patch... just tape it where you want to make bullet proof... and if you throw it against the wind, it will come back like a boomerang... doesn't fail... just shoots right back into my hand... just be careful that it doesn't hit a car behind you because it will detonate a chain reaction of exploding vehicles ala lethal weapon... i've seen it done before... i had to clean up with a broom, it was not fun for me...

that and i'm super bored... i dunno what to do... my regular "post whoring" forum is down until february... i dunno what i'm gonna do until then...

Here is an update - we have some additional speakers...

And "YES" we will have membership cards done right this year. They can be made while people sit and watch the meeting and handed out at the end, well, that is the plan currently....

Happy new year, here is to a great 2011!

We are having our monthly meeting this Sunday at Ago Of Aquariums in Long Beach Sunday Jan 16th 2011 at 6:00 to 9:00pm

This is our 1 year anniversary meeting, and the first official membership drive. Please help support the club by renewing your membership.

Topic: How to use a DSLR properly.
Speaker: Leo Chen

In the past Richard (wishntoboutside) has been so nice to host the presentation @ his house. Now we will have Leo out here in Long Beach.
Leo is very knowledgeable on taking pics with DSLR. Many of us have DSLRs, and only a small fraction of us know how to use them properly. (like me) So come out and join us to learn.

- MikeT will have some tips on using a point and shoot and the best settings for aquaria pictures (if your camera has them).

- We will also have the Rep from Sun Light supply out here showing off the newest lights and what they have in the works

We will have food and drink available.

There will be a frag tank for selling and swapping, paid members only.
