Sexy shrimp breeding adventure

Day 15. The shrimp came in very small so I was hesitant to put them into my display because they'd be a snack. Now I have many many small shrimp.

I am not doing anything special with them, just feeding hikari first powdered food and leaving them in the tank. If they made it this far....

If they spawn again maybe I will get them an airstone for a filter instead of a powerhead and a rock.

That's awesome. Day 15 sounds ideal. Maybe I should have been doing them instead lol. What temperature did you have them at? I'm also asking this because I keep wondering if I should be less cautious with temperature and keep it at like 80 or 81 for faster progression & settling.

I have my heater set to 78.

I have basically just been ignoring the tank, other than feeding it every other day. I was pretty surprised to see them.

I put in 6 very small peppermints and a 10-15 ish lb rock covered in aiptasia from my display. I thought the peppermints could grow out a bit and maybe want a snack. Apparently the soul music I have been rockin in the office inspired other thoughts. We will see how these guys do.

If this works I will probably set something up a little bit nicer. This species of peppermint isn't that widely available, so if they are this easy to breed it would be nice to spread some around.
