Jason, what are ideal params for this one and how "permissive" is it? I am thinking of trying one acro next to my squamosa on top of the rock. Needs to be one of those bulletproof ones, though :-)

I'd say, since this one is a tenuis; it wouldn't be ideal for your current system.. If I had to pick one, I'd say the deepwater honeymelon would be your best bet as it wouldn't require as much light and isn't too picky.

That said, I recommend the following for all my acros:
7.5-8.0dkh
0.05-0.15 po4
5-15 no3
300-400par
plenty of random flow and stability with whatever parameters you keep

Interesting, I really liked that smooth skin one but figured it'd be harder. Same parameters as above? I'm expecting the 25g system to be generally lower nutrients than the super high wrasse/foxface/cbb system. Only nano fish, and I'll have a drop in algae scrubber for extra control. Plus macros, which I couldn't have with the foxface.

I think I'll give it a try!

Yup, same params. The honeymelon would be the most forgiving of the three in my experience so it will be the best option for you imo

I'll join on this one. I already have a small frag of the green rainbow splice, which hasn't done shit for me, so i'm not joining that one. And I suck at smooth skins, so maybe sitting out of that one too.

I've noticed he did not join the one I'm doing either.
