So, I have a bunch of smaller starfish that come out at night (Mostly). I was wondering if they have any natural predators. They seem to be all over my Zoa's I caught 3 of them on polyps of my Lunar Eclipse's. Do they eat Zoas? How do I get rid of them?:conf44: Any answers would help!

Thanks!

A "harlequin shrimp" should do the job but not if you have other starfish in your tank you want to keep. Also what do the starfish look like? Do they have thick bodies like a chocolate chip starfish or are they thin like a brittle or serpent starfish? In short a "harlequin shrimp" is a starfish predator but will die if you don't get it more starfish to eat or remove it after the cleaning is done.

Harlequins are awesome he will munch up all those starfish for you. Just make sure once its under control to throw a choc starfish in there for a meal for two weeks or more depending on size. Mine has been really healthy and easy to care for. Try to make sure they have all their legs when u get them. They often get damaged in shipping. They will grow back pretty quick but it makes life harder for awhile and that doesn't help.
