For the price I am very happy with the color. Best way I can put it is this very close to the "all blue" setting on a radion. My favorite setting was deep blue on radion. If there was an option and money wasn't a factor I would want some UV or Violet LEDs thrown in the mix.
But for lighting both sides of a 6' fixture for just under $300, I'm very happy with the color

Two newest additions, from Tongs FV. I was talking with the owner about acropora and he got to showing me pictures of some of the pieces on the way as well as ones that arrived from the wholesaler. Some of the supplier pictures were straight fire, granted they look a little drab in the tank. I took a gamble on 2, one already looks like it's going to turn out nice. The tenuis is super bleached but hints of yellow coming through, the picture i saw had purple so I'll see what I can pull from it. Hes told me in the past he gets pieces just as nice as some of the high end names and I've had a few 35 dollar pieces turn into look a likes for sure. This is one of my favorite places to buy sps now.

I'm just kinda letting everything fill in right now. There are 2 pieces I'm going to sell off whole. One looked real good under radion but has gone green on me with MH. The other is my metallic millepora, just don't really have a spot for it. Hows your tank?

The LEDs are sold by a company called populargrow on Ebay. These are the all blue 470nm. Pretty sure they are basically orphek bars but with the single color and probably a cheaper driver

Sorry man I just sold that in a pack. It was a nice piece but it wasn't getting the par it needed in my tank.

Love this piece and my flow is on point right now across the tank. Sound off unless you like the sounds of a 1 year old emptying our spice cabinet 1080p or you can see the polyps
I did have my first major mishap with my gyre. After cleaning the left cover was loose and rotated on me. Shot straight down blowing sand I can't even reach under my right structure. It was a 24 hr cloud storm and now I've got my toxic waltz with STN from below. Also lost a confetti frag but it was holding off stn from a poor acclimation.

Finally got around to tightening up my spectra and fan cable management. Also cut down and drilled my led bar brackets so they hug the fixture. I also had to extend my MH/ T5 wires to get everything under the tank. While I was at it I got some 3/4 heat shrink to help hold the bundle of cables together and hold form so the fixture doesn't tilt back, worked great.
I'm still thinking of retro fitting the t5s with the LEDs but holding off for now. If I can find some paint to match, maybe some automotive wrinkle, for the bars itll stay as is just painted.
I'm getting some gnarly surface rust from placing a fan below without adding adequate ventilation on my skin doors. Trying to figure out a game plan for that one that doesnt involve breaking everything down
