That is a pretty docile list however I will tell you this. I have a scopas and that thing is a badass. He was about four inches long when I put in a 11 inch vlamingi and he told the vlamingi what's up. When I had my Powder Blue Tang Fiasco he's the one fish that didn't get injured by the powder blue and I think he's the one that took it out. My point is that species of fishes tend to be one disposition or another but each individual fish has its own personality
So far he seems to be the alpha. Nothing crazy but flexing on the other for sure :)

Small change to my rock work. Ugly stage of tank. Also added the 3 tangs. Go ahead and turn the volume off since family showed up right when I was taking the clip. But do select 1080p

The arch doesn't look very natural but I think it will with different types high light tenuis ect growing on it in a few months-year. Its going to be a great par/high indirect flow area for sure. I have a tester piece of Bubble Gum Digitata just cause I have so many pieces of it in the frag tank. Seems happy for the last few days. Need to up my CUC for sure.

I love my Scopas. Underrated fish.

So true. Always look "eh" in a LFS but when healthy and happy in a reef they look awesome. I've never had more than one tang in a system and it's cool to see them interact. They are feeling out dominance, yet stay in group so far. I'm sure once more fish are added and they settle in more they'll start doing their own thing.

My internet has been down for a week now. I swapped my lights to reef link right before and they are doing all kinds of crazy crap without the connection. Corals seem to be doing okay, hopefully they are strong enough to handle the random lighting.

I can't upload decemt pictures from my phone so I took a short video of the tank to show the layout. I'm slowly removing frag discs one I decide where I want color and how the piece reacts to the placement.

I think I'm going to ditch the mp40wqds and go with the tunze stream 3 to go along with the xf150/xf250 combo I have on each end.

Hard to believe all the coral I had in that frag tank took up so much room. So far everything has survived the transfer. The fish are extremely healthy and have settled in nicely now that the lawn mower stopped tagging others.

Check it out in 1080p.

Is that the rock from your previous tank? Are you dosing any trace elements? What about coral foods? I've been using the Benepets the last few weeks. My alk has been stable. Coraline is slow but its growing.

I was cooking this rock for 6 months but couldn't get rid of some black looking hairy mold that was growing on it even though it was 100% blackout. So I gave it a acid bath. I used Dr.Tims ammonia and cycled with turbo Fritz 900, Dr. Tim's one and only and and dosing microbacter daily still. Cycle took about a week to go from 2-3ppm to zero in 24 hours. I repeated a few days in a row to confirm. So far everything has been super stable. I did add 3 marinepure plates from my frag tank.

Aside from the calcium reactor I've been dosing acro power @ 25% recommended dose daily and ramping up slowly. I've also been dosing red sea AB (food/ amminos/vitamins) since my blue buckets came with it for free. I've been feeding heavy 2x a day between reef frenzy and rods reef.

I've been struggling to keep a steady drip from the effluent so I ordered a Kamoer peristaltic pump today. Isn't effecting the system so far because my demand is so low but I want to get it dialed now before it is an issue.

Salinity 1.025
Alkalinity 8.3-8.6
Calcium 420
Magnesium 1350
Nitrate 5ppm
Haven't tested phosphate since there isn't a major algae issue yet > gotta love tangs!

Once my demand picks up I'll do a ICP test and see if anything is lacking.

Thanks for that. I'm going to give some Acropower a try, along with Brightwell Replenish (Trace).

I've got the Kamoer pump on the way as well.

How do you like the benepets? Are you broadcast feeding or spot feeding?

I just broadcast feed it. Would be hard to spot feed with it... it dissolves in water so there aren't really any "chunks". I've just been letting it dissolve for a few minutes then pour it in. I have a couple of small sample jars from RAP a while back. I've been doing twice a week the last few weeks. I've only got a lobo and a few SPS frags on a rack so not much to spot feed anyway.

Tracking says the Kamoer pump will be delivered today so I'll have something to play with this weekend.

The plan is to leave everything the same on the calrx… CO2 output, bubble rate, and effluent valve. I will take note of the ph within the reactor. I'll remove the feed from the manifold, install the pump, and attempt to match the ph in the reactor. Or at least close to it. I need to figure out where to put the pump though. Sloppy won't due... I may make a wooden shelf and mount it on the underside of the tank deck.

I plan to add a small shelf above the reactor as well. So are you controlling your pH in the reactor solely with the bubble rate? Or do you also have a controller keeping it in range?

The bubble rate can be adjusted up or down, which will affect the ph in the reactor. The needle valve on the effluent can also be opened or closed which also raises or lowers the ph in the reactor. Or adjusting the C02 pressure on the regulator. The solenoid is connected to my apex, but the ph in my reactor hasn't dropped down low enough for the apex to trip it off. I'm currently running about 7.1 in the reactor. At least that is my understanding anyway. I'm still learning.
