Yeah that's why I've held off for now. Polyps have been out since being in the tank but too soon for growth. Color is a little pastel for my liking/comfort but that could just be the piece? Not sure.

Went to 400w yesterday. Hopefully it all goes well. Harder to get accurate pictures under these old 20k Ushio's I threw in until new lamps show up.

Probably just end up pink but pretty cool looking for now millepora

4 loko nearly doubled in growth.....so now it's the size of my pinky nail!

ICP still shows nickel but the molybdenum came way down after all my water changes. Not sure how to take that but I guess I need to keep hunting for now.

Trying to decide if I'm going to stick with the 14k hamiltons. These 20k are much more blue and blend better with my bars on at the same time. I may try Hamiltons 20k.

Looks great! How much nickel are you showing? If it's by itself, you're probably okay, but if you're showing copper too, then you might have something corroding in there?

Thanks!
The nickel showed up with high moly and a little bit of Tin. Tin is gone and nickel is 7 ug/l; moly is 17 and tin is now zero again.

i found a cracked tunze cord at the housing so I suspect that for now.

my scop is still super pissed, the damage may have been done but hopefully it comes back?

thanks thay speciosa is cool but a little saturated looking in that picture. The bluer halide with bars makes things a little crazy in pics.

Loving the macro shots. It'd be great if we could get a behind-the-scenes photo of the setup/position you need to be in to take something like these. I'm still a photos-through-the-glass noob.
For sure. I'll post a picture of the setup in the next few days. I have a DSLR setup I use as well as a basic phone setup for top down shots.

I had my Hydros waveengine vs 1 just stop working last night. It was a pain in the but pulling out pumps and putting other pumps in today and going back and forth with Carlos.
That AOA Granulosa is sure pretty I was just at AGE over the weekend. Is that where you got the speciosa frag? I noticed they had two different frags of speciosa.

Ah man that sucks, sorry to hear that Eric. How long did you get out of it and are they going to at least repair or hook you up on a newer v2?

I do like that granny a lot. The speciosa came from Tongs Tropical Fish. Does the one at AGE looking pretty similar to this one?

Not a huge fan of Carlos and CoralVue so far. It's a new vs1 that's 2 months old. It didn't work new out of the box. Coralvue had me send it back to get a flash update. I was a little bummed out and tried to get them to let me pay upward to get a v2. They have very limited supplies of their waveengines at the time so they had zero interest in helping. I don't think they would've helped if they had the supplies. Completely different experience dealing with them compared to Ecotech. On a side note the vendor I bought it from gave me $100 back for all the hassle.

The frag at AGE did look similar.

That's a major bummer to hear. Hopefully this thing doesn't malfunction, it's been working flawlessly so far.

For sure. I feel like a lot of these speciosa coming in look similar to this one I have.

Yeah, that sucks to hear. I've had nothing but great support from them and my WE has been running solid for a few years. I'm using the ETM version so the gyres and MP40's are synced up.

My kids crumpled up my orange filter I had been using for years so I haven't been taking many blue pictures.

Today I attempted to shoot without a filter. Only some pieces show through the blue. I shot with an open window near by to help balance out the light a little and that seemed to help pull out that over saturation
I was able to catch the two tone on this tenuis. I'm really liking this one

Here is my phone setup.
Eshopps viewer. I think it’s like 8”. I can just set my phone in it and take pictures. I don’t need filters with MH but when I ran led or taking blue I use coralvue clip on lens. It came with yellow and orange which work very well for day/blue
