I just heard Graces shop in Gardena burned down this morning. South Bay Aquariums. Sad, I think they lost everything. I know grace pours her heart and soul into this shop and I can only imagine how devastating this must be for her and her family. Please send your thoughts and prayers her way.

Wow I believe that’s the oldest lfs in the South Bay, opened since at least 1988 and one of the first to have saltwater fish. So sad to hear.

Very sad to hear. A Gardena landmark. Man I remember going there nearly every day after my classes at El Camino. Never had any money to buy anything so I just spent 15 mins enjoying theirs.

someone made a fundraiser so that they can open up again. https://gofund.me/8d048aa6 the picture shows where the fire started, and only some products can still be sold, but im pretty sure their gonna have to be discounted. I had gone there to get some water, and luckily, the ladies were there, and i had asked them if i could still get the water. They told me that the water was fine, so i entered, and i was a little bit emotional to see that everything wasn't gone, but it just couldn't be sold. i feel really bad for them, and i wish i could donate, but i currently have no money, but whenever i get even just 5$, i will donate it to them.
