This was the same issue I had when I was culturing phyto. Hard to go through unless you have massive system. You can store your fresh batch in the fridge I found they’d stay viable for at least 30 days, then you can just make a batch once a month.

Yeah I had the same issue I shut 1 of the phytos down. I have found I can keep them out on the counter for 3 weeks no issues

Nothing special just 35ppt salt and feed them my special phyto that's. 34.5ppt.

Air bubble rates? With 1 bubble a second phyto seems to just fall to the bottom.

I run about 2 to 3 bubbles

How's the culture going? And what are you culturing now and how much are you culturing?

Your success if making me think that I can do a small phyto culture. Is there a guide on how to start?

I read that recommended 5ml per 10 gallon dose....wow, I only dose ~25ml in my 250gal tank at night.

I've been using DEWreefings phyto. It's been a great addition to the reef. It has a great shelf life and very dense.
