My gen 5 did have a crack but it doesn't affect the performance of the light and after talking to customers service they had a replacement at my house in 1 to 2 days. My mobius app only started messing up 2 days ago. It keeps changing the time so my lights aren't coming on and off. Before that it worked great. I just don't know whats a good color setup for coloring up

ok everyone! looks like we have all of our participants! I hope everyone is getting excited over this. I know someone from riverside is coming to pick up some corals for other participants, Please PM eachother and set up a location and time, thank you.

As I said above there is a side raffle and I spoke it over with @joseserrano and have decided that,
there will be another contest within this grow out contest!!!

prize pool : 20$, and a unknown frag, and a Brand new Red Sea Refractormeter !
contest : BEST COLOR!

I know it is hard with photoshop and gel filtering, So in order for us to do this correctly, the spectrum of light when photo is taken must be daylight, or around 16K spectrum.

The rules will be the same, Some additional rules are followed :

. The photo cannot be in atinics or blue spectrum to make the coral POP.
. This side pool is only for coloration, so no measurements are needed. only "day one" photo that has the correct spectrum.
. winner for growth contest cannot win side pool contest.
. the day one photo must be posted 24hours once you picked up the coral
. photos will need to be posted monthly. Not doing so will result in disqualification for this side pool

With all that being said, you will be posting 2 "DAY ONE" photos
1. ruler behind coral for growth contest.
2. daylight or 16k spectrum for color contest

Name: Jose Serrano

tank: I have an about 150g acrylic frag tank with an 80g sump. Tank is 12x30x96, So about 200 total gallons of water.

filtration: mix of live rock and ceramic blocks, balls, cubes..., Ati 250i powercone with a Tunze pump running it, refugium run with 2 hydro lights (harvest every 2weeks to 1 month, based on laziness), a small amount of bio pellets, small amount of gfo, carbon in a bag, and all goes through the deep water blcd 6 (can’t really remember model).

lighting: half light by 48” 8 bulb ati non dimmable with 2x reefbrites, other half with radion Gen 4 xr30pro. The frag will sit in the T5 side. My lights come on at 6pm and I turn off at 2am

flow: all together 4x 3k ice cap gyres, 5x sm to medium Tunze pumps. Unsure all of the Tunze models or total water volume everything moves. Most things are run up to 70% and gradually raises as they loose power/need to be cleaned.

salt: live aquaria salt aka fritz

dosing: aquamaxx t3 with a secondary chamber and large ice cap kalk reactor.

Here’s just a thought and maybe some others can argue or agree. But can we have a 2 week acclimation period before we mount in fixed spot?
Even in Steve’s message he stated that these frag will need to be acclimated to our blue lights. I would like to put my frag in the sand bed for the first week so my lights don’t stress the coral out to much. Then the second week I’d like to bring the coral up mid way to where I finally put it.
Unfortunately my halides are not dimmable

I never really acclimate my corals but given this situation unfortunately we cannot change the rules. (I would love to change them but it would mean other rules could be changed as well.)
