Springer damsels are great. Not too aggressive so u can keep other smaller fish. Tank that big I would get a few firefish, basselet, dottyback, ect

I’d get 10 different fairy wrasse, 15 chromis, a springers damsel, 12 dispar anthias, and 12 resplendents :geek:

I was waiting for the punchline..."all quarantined and ready to go!" Lol.

Do you have a mesh cover and/or does your canopy wrap around the whole tank just in case for the jumpers?

lol - yah, just checked out @Dooly ’s “wrasses” while I was there today. Too rich for my blood though…

My tank is eurobranced on top but no cover. Would suck to see multiple dead presidents actually died on the floor though! o_O

I had 9 chromis before - they ended up killing each other. I now got ONE left in the frag tank.

Large harem of clowns would look great. Some orange would really pop in your tank.

I didn’t have much luck with a harem of clowns, perhaps need to get tiny ones. Well, I had 11 if those Black Storms before. Now I have…ONE?

My 450gal has mostly large angels & tangs — all 30 of them! I need some suggestions to add color and motion to the tank. First come to mind would be a school of anthias. However, I don’t want to feed frozen. What do you guys recommend? Blue/green chromis, damsels (some can be nasty), harem of clowns? I’m leaning toward the latter - thoughts?

I might do a bunch of damsels - very affordable and just to create “chaos” inside the tank. Will see

Monodactlyus kottelati will also work for a tank that size. They dont get that big and they shoal pretty well.

I know a guy in Irvine who sells them if you are interested. Since they are brackish you can introduce them to salt from 1.005 with no issues.

thanks — will pass for now. Those are still too big for me. I’m researching to get a bunch of Ocellaris or damsels

Did you see his absolutely amazing Blue Star Leopard wrasse? Got a beauty of a CBB in there, too! Oh, and his black back china pearl is a doll!
