Summer heat coming!

Like it or not, the summer heat is coming this weekend. How is everyone preparing for the heat?

I plan to keep my lights off for the two days!

Small chiller on my 12 gallon nano. Wish I had AC in the whole house. I would probably have more tanks.

I run my lights late as well. Ive done this for years to help with heat and save money during lower charges hours. I run my nights from 6pm- 2am

I keep AC at 77 and tank stays between 78-79, so im good.

Pushed my light schedule back and hooked up my chiller on the main reef. You know you love reef tanks when you have a seahorse tank in your room that is constantly blowing hot air to keep up with their tank demand. Sometimes I sweat in my sleep, but my ponies are comfy! lol

81 but I don't have anything in it really. No fans or chiller. AC is struggling, needs service. Glad I didn't stock my tank yet.

My tank in the garage is plumbed with a chiller and is now at 83 degrees. This morning around 7 it was at 80 degrees.

once mine hit 81 I started cleaning out the chiller with vinegar. Just got it hooked up and its 82. Hasn't been used in 4-5 years, hopefully it pulls through. My bigger fear was my american bulldog over heats like crazy, poor girls been panting all day. I think central air is next on the home improvement list!

I hear ya on that. I dug in sprinklers all day yesterday at my house. Rewarded myself with a couple beers while floating in the pool last night. I seriously considered just sleeping on that sea turtle raft for the night!
