sump or closed system

i have an 72 gallon bowfront with a built in overflow bow front stands dont have alot of room so my wife want me to see what the best way to go if i use a closed system with a rena filstar xp4 until i can get the 4 stage filter or a sump what should i do let me know what you think

yes i do to but i still want to be married the best i have seen is 200 also i am joining the us army so i will probaly go to a bigger tank because ill have to start all over but i will tell her what you said

If you are joining the army, don't set the tank up...you will be moving and then deployed a lot

Take the inside measurements for your stand; including the size of the openings if it has doors or a brace on the back side.

I have an acrylics guy who does ridiculously nice work for cheap, I will ask for a quote

sounds like you are running into the same thing i am with my bowfront tank/stand. Maximum width i can fit in with the center brace in the back is 9" wide by about 24-28" long. I am looking for a 10 long glass tank which is 8Wx12Hx24L. Clear for life makes an acrylic tank with those dimensions, but buying one of those new is way too spendy for something im going to have to modify anyhow by adding baffles and what not.
