Sump Questions

I was wondering how do you guys setup your sump? I have a 3 baffle sump and getting ready to set it up with...
1st baffle- skimmer
2nd- live rock
3rd- chaeto

My question is should i put live sand also? Should I put live rock on all 3 baffle?

hey Andy....

1st baffle - filter sock and skimmer if you can fit them
2nd - live sand with chaeto and if you can fit in the live rock, put some in
3rd - return pump

I run a 4 baffle set up.

1st chamber - fuge with macro, sand, and live rock
2nd - filter sox and skimmer
3rd - return pump

Thanks for all the tip guys. I plan to run the DT bare bottom. My sump have only 3 baffle with the 2nd one being the largest in term of space. The return pump is outside connectd to the 3rd baffle so i dont think putting live sand there would be good (just afraid it might clog the pump)

new config...
1st- sock/skimmer
2nd-live rock/sand
3rd- live rock/chaeto

I would worry about the chaeto clogging the pump also...
