T5 Hybrid opinions

i want to see if any one is running either of the below and which they prefer as i want to try a hybrid

Giesemann Stellar T5 Hybrid
Aquatic Life Hybrid

I will be running the 36" and wanted to see who is running what.

I will say the Stellar looks cleaner and the nice thing is that the wires exit on the same side of the fixture.
Unlike the Aquatic Life so no looping wires to get to the back to plug them in

I have the dimmable version of the Aquatic Life Hybrid which has all wires coming out the same side making it a lot cleaner. It is of course more money.

I run the aquatic life - I personally love it. The Giesemann are more $ but i think the fixture looks better and maybe even better quality. But both should get the job done.

im upgrading from the 2- 36" Tek Elites so i think its time to try a hybrid setup as ive used all other lighting in the past

looks like i lucked out. bought the last 2 Stellars at 279 ea. was going to get an extra just in case but guess not

ok so back to Apex classes for me.

do i need to get an AWM to control the hydra 52 hds that im going to put in the Stellars from the new Apex ??

well looks like i can use the IOTA task in Apex. man there is alot of techy stuff to learn now

Why you need to connect the Hydra 52HD to Apex ? AI has it's own app and can control everything from your Cell phone. Just leave the light separately from apex.

I have the Noopsyche hybrid the t5 hinges can be angled and they have a really wide and curved reflector for more punch and spread

Letsgotothezoo, so do you run the Hyrdas on a dedicated plug and no even plugged in to the Apex ?

i was trying to set up everything to run through the Apex as i am so out of date with my DA reefkeeper and ACIII
