T5 Recommendations

I'm having my tank built (36"L x 20"W x 14"H) by SoCal Creations. It will be a 4 sided tank. I am planning on buy a 4 bulb retro setup from reefgeek. Not sure if I should get the Icecap or the Tek2 retro. I plan on making it a mixed reef but mainly ricordias, LPS, and softies. Maybe 1 or 2 SPS, a clam and an anemone. Do you think the Icecap is too much light for that shallow of a tank? I'm not planning on getting the very high output (Overdriven?) one.

T5HO's aren't "overdriven" per se.

I would go with the IceCap reflectors. And no, I don't think it'd be too much light. You'll have to light acclimate them, but IMO, it shouldn't be a big deal.

The ballast overdrives them but the retro on reef geek you can get just the IC reflectors, which I've heard are better than the SS ones. Unless your using alot of lights I don't think the difference is that important a couple of extra PAR, if you had alot of lights then yeah that little extra would add up and prob make it worth it.
