I'm in the planning stages for my next system, and I'm strongly considering a Waterbox 380.8, which I understand can only be sent to a shipping terminal.

I struck out at my LFS trying to find someone who might be able to transport the tank from the shipping terminal to my home, and then move it into the house and level it.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a local business that might be able to help? I would prefer to pay an insured pro rather than DIY it.

I would greatly appreciate any advice.

just read a terrible thread about Waterbox. I also saw the price and a 225 with metal stand delivered was a little less than what OP said they paid for their 308

Would you mind sharing a link to that thread? I'd love to read it. I will say, my first reach out to Waterbox was met with a rather useless reply. Somewhat surprising for such a larger prospective purchase, but I guess that's how it is now.

Curious of the area you are planning on the new tank? I’m building a new setup now at my house. Went a different direction with having custom cabinetry built and ordered tanks through planet aquariums. Costs were more going this route but I think the end result is going to be a lot nicer than the standard furniture that comes with most tanks.

Was an easier sell too with the boss with it going in as more of a furniture piece rather than just a tank along a wall.

Here’s a quick pic of what I have in the works. Just finished the cabinets and hanging lights. Going with a three tank setup.

This tank would go in what is now my office and was formerly our dining room. I'm constrained to 8 feet, because otherwise the tank would abut plantation shutters on one or both sides and could also impede opening french doors to the outside.

I may have to settle for a 7 foot Cade, though I am thinking about a custom tank. I'm just not sure I'm up to the task of designing and executing my own plumbing or building a reliable stand.

I love the cabinetry work you have there!

Either way I’m sure it’ll be a great setup! Are you keeping the peninsula going too?

As much as I would like to keep the peninsula going alongside the new one, I have a tentative deal with my wife to consolidate three tanks into one.
Good luck! You can always renegotiate the “deal” right? I think all reefers NEED at least 2 tanks to house various livestock. ;)
