Won’t the ice chest melt at that temperature?
Naw. Shouldn’t. Pvc gets soft at about 175 degrees and melts at 200 degrees.
Here in the IE summer can hit 110 and the pvc conduit doesn’t melt. I’m just looking to setup a hot climate like it would in a car in the summer. So maybe even try 120 degrees if 100 degrees goes ok

I plugged the ice chest into a ac/dc 12v 7a converter to see how cold the chest could get

In 20min it dropped from 70 to 63 degrees

What would be the difference from all those 12volt coolers they sell on Amazon? I was just going to get one for just drinks and food.
Amazon cooler
The controller I used allows me to adjust the temp to keep live fish, corals, and inverts at proper temp. The cooler on Amazon is exactly that just a cooler.

My ice chest has a heater and chiller to keep temp in range of 77 degrees.

So I took 6 berghia to work with me yesterday

When I got home I didn’t even float or drip acclimate the berghia back into the farm tank. I just dropped in to the tank. Two of them found an aiptaisa pretty quick and started munching down.
