Yea, I hear you! that sun coral cost me $35 for the whole colony, and that dendro cost me $40 for one head. Now that's expensive if you ask me!

the main diff for me is that sun corals have to be fed every day where as dendros only need to be fed every few days. and if they're in direct light, dendros aren't bothered, where as sun corals are.

Actually their from the same Genus just different species

Dendrophyllia Fistula (Dendro)

Tubastrea (Sun)

I feed both of them once every two to three days, and they are both under 2x250w MH in the pic. but in the evening, and night they open up even more.
