Hi everyone figured I’d put my build out there so people could see what I’m working with. I’ve just started reefing in June 2020.

started with dry rock so I had to battle Dino’s and that almost made me quit lol glad I stuck with it. Anemones are by far my favorite thing in a reef if you couldn’t tell..

I use orphek or3 bars for lighting and an old wet/dry sea systems sump that I got by trading a YT. I don’t do water changes / clean the sandbed. I let the critters do the cleaning besides the front glass. I dose alk cal and mg along with trace elements (moonshiners method). Stock is 4 domino damsel , one black white damsel , 2 clowns , lawn mower blenny, six line wrasse , orchid dottyback and a ton of inverts. I try to keep my tank very natural the only chemical I have dosed is reef flux to kill caulerpa. All dosing is done by hand / water top offs using kalk. This is a 40b

Looking good! What city are you in? I maybe interested in some Xenia, and can possibly trade you for a mushroom, of course if you’re within a reasonable distance.
Thanks man! I’m located in Rancho Cucamonga if anyone wants to trade , I’m always trading corals especially for anemones

Haven’t updated in a while , thinking it’s time! Lol. Been a journey with my reef , I recently moved and wow that took all day just to move the tank! I have upgraded to an 75/90 gallon and I’m so happy for it! The corals seem to be enjoying more space. I did lose some livestock such as urchin / sea star in the transfer and my acro frag. Everything else made it just fine and I’ve sold my old fish and got a copperband/ blue tang / salfin and yellow coris wrasse -I’m pretty sure Im at full stock now !
