So as a long time member of the reefing community I’ve tried to contribute, help others, share information, learn as much as I can, pay it forward and bank coral with trusted friends and reefers alike. I’m not usually one to ask for help, but if I’m able to, I often help others as much as I can. I’ve given away plenty of coral, snails, etc to those who’ve made the trek to my house, only to subject them to talking about the hobby for too long (I tend to go on if you let me), apologies to those who have endured my blabbering.
I know there are plenty of people out there like me, because we’ve traded/sold/bought corals with each other over the years. I’m a firm believer in the reefers code, share information, bank corals and help whenever you can. I’ve been fortunate enough to get back a few pieces that I’ve banked with friends, but there’s one piece that I lost last year that I haven’t tried to get back, until now. You may say that I can go get this piece in almost all the shops or online places at any time, but this is about getting this particular coral back (if it still exists?). This piece was my first acropora that I grew from a tiny brown frag when I started a tank after a 13 year hiatus. It’s a common piece, most call it a bonsai, tricolor, valida, secale, etc, but to me, it meant a lot, I spent nearly 10 years growing this through several battles and multiple bacterial issues, tank upgrades, but it managed to survive them all, until the last one.
So, for those of you who may have received this piece, either as a gift or if I sold it to you, I would be more than willing to buy a piece back. I believe it to be A. secale, but as I mentioned, commonly called a bonsai.
I don’t have too many pics, but I’ll share what I have. So if you remember getting this piece from me in the past 10 years, I would be extremely grateful to see it returned to my tank again, only to grow it out and share it with others. Thanks for taking the time and remember, the reefers code is only a thing if we keep it going.

Here’s the initial frag from Feb 2015.
Here it is in 2017 in the center of my 22g before I upgraded.
