Hey,

Sorry about the cheesy title of the post.

I am just looking for opinions about where to go with my tank. As you can see in the picture, I have 3 pieces of SPS at the top of my tank that are pretty grown out (yellow circle). I have 4 other, much nicer, juvenile pieces of SPS that are starting to take off (red circles).

The SPS at the top are stating to fight because of their proximity, so I will probably have to start fragging them up, BUT...I have actually been thinking about taking all three of the pieces out (monti. and 2 digis), putting some new rock in there, and placing a RBTA in that spot.

My lighting is ok for the RBTA, my tank is mature enough, and if anything, I think I have too much flow with the MP20.

Do you think the RBTA is a good idea, or would you just leave the setup the way it is?

I realize this is mostly an opinion thread, so I appreciate any comments you have! Thanks!!!!

In a 39 I dunno, chances are the rbta will move anywhere except where you want it to stay, and could become an issue if it gets to be like 10"+...

Thanks for the input guys!

The more I look at the situation, the more it looks like it is just too risky.

If anything, I would probably be better off getting a torch and putting it there, at least it wouldn't move around!

I was worried about the clowns being happy, but i just noticed yesterday that the female has laid eggs, so apparently they are fine!

Thanks again!

from research that i did in the past because i pondered similar questions, rbta's tend to move around less than gbta's. this is evident in my tank also. i have both and the rbta moved around a few inches at first, but then it quickly settled perfectly at the spot i wanted it *knock on wood". whereas... the gbta's got legs!

Actually, it is not a purple digi (although it looks like one in the photo), it is the ORA german blue digi.

I am going to keep the mother colony, but if you want a small frag, i can hook you up. This stuff grows like a weed.
