I have a reef tank with several reg clowns ans one tomato clown, there is an anemone which gets hosted by the tomato...the anemone has moved to a more open space of the tank and now the tomato clown has become very protective of "his precious" as I like to call it. It is starting to become a problem as his chasing is leading to fin nipping.

My question is ; do I need to get another anemone to solve this issue? or did I need to find the tomato clown a new home?

thanks:noidea:

In my experience, tomato and gold striped maroons have been the most aggressive and territorial clowns. In most cases, even if you add another nem, it will be overly protective of the new anemone as well. I would just find the belligerent clown a new home.
