Man - I totally hate you guys! My torches would just lose flesh bands and die in a few months — no clue why! If you can share your secrets, then I would be buying some torches.

Lost so many of them and I’m done with torches.

Age of the tank and stable water conditions I also run my phosphates and nitrates higher.

Got a tiger frag on the sand next to mama colony for 2 months. I gotta post it for sale one of these days.

got a baby cotton candy spontaneous spawn on the sand for 3 weeks. Gotta mount it one day

New skywalks HG and new unnamed banana looking torch.

How do you guys get the torches to color up? Mine had a very nice malaysian gold when I got it, now it is very dark and lost a lot of the yellow. Is it not enough light? But I see you guys have it very low on the sand even. This is the one I had to save when rest of it melted.

That's really cool yours spawned on the sand. I have a baby torch in one of my rocks, and I'm hoping that'll grow back my melted HG torch.

I think the wild ones are hard to retain color sometimes. I usually buy torches that are aquacultured at least 1 year in the tank. If someone can retain the color under led for 1 year, I’m willing to give it a shot. Been lucky so far. Cant say I’m a torch expert but my tank run high nutrients and my radion xr 30 is running at 100%. Not sure if that’s the reason though. My color has been ok for me, good enough.
