So I just recently set this bad boy up in my 100 G (60*24*18) and I cant seem to get a decent wave out of it. It is currently set up on the left side of my tank towards the front of the glass where the pump has a clear shot to the other side of the tank. I rearranged my live rock, took out all other internal pumps (only other flow not coming from my return) and moved my external overflow more towards the middle of the tank. Still I can only general a 1/2" wave even with this guy cranked all the way up. Water movement still looks good, but I want to increase the size of the wave so that Im confident all the water is moving enough.

Does any one have any experience with this? Any suggestions?

Suggestions:

1. Turn the white knob counter clockwise till stop.
2. slowly turn the knob clockwise with a very small adjustment and observe for 1 min after each adjustment.
3. The diagram show on the controller next to the white knob is not your power indication. The diagram show either the pump pulse fast or slow, if the know as the small end meaning the pump pulse faster and shorter and big end the pump pulse slower and longer. All wavebox pump was set to max power from MFG. You have to slowly dial the knob till it reach the right Frequency.
4. If you want more wave, there is two small hole in the back of the box. Use the two plastic screws that come with your bracket mounting kit to seal them up. It will help increase the wave by 1/8".

For your tank size, you should get 1.5" - 2" of wave...

Im reading this thinking, Thanks for telling me what I read in the instructions

Needless to so say, I tried it and I am now seeing amazing water-flow with a wave around least 1.5. I found the right spot in the exact opposite spot I was expecting it, closer to the beginning. Thanks for taking the time to dumb it down for me, I appreciate the help!

Sounds like you have one. Do you use the photocell? I wasn't sure about having the pump turn off during the night. Is it fine for there to be minimal water flow during that time? (the only other flow I have is coming from my return)

Thanks again!
