I know these aren’t used a lot now days but I’m running a large tunze wavebox on my new tank. I’m fine with added overflow splashing and expected some noise with it being a giant plastic box. BUT this can be heard in my back bedroom and tanks on my living room.

it’s hard to describe the sound but maybe like a very abrupt heart beat noise maker used for putting kids to sleep. I’ll try to upload a video.

it also jolts shakes during pulsing which seems odd to me.
I checked the foam is in there. I believe I have it at the right water height.

the performance is amazing so far, but this noise needs to be cut in half at least for me to keep it in operation.

If you can’t find anything here hit up coral euphoria on ig he uses one and maybe he can help
Okay cool, I'll check it out. I follow him on youtube but his site says he charges for Q's. He probably just gets hit up all the time I'm sure.

Roger is very responsive. If there is a number call it. Red. Screw is for intensity. Doesnt it have a controller?
Yes it has the controller. I killed all other pumps but the return and did the auto-adjust feature. It's producing a nice 1" wave right now.

I tried turning the red screw down but basically made a similar noise until I turned it off. I had to turn it down pretty far to not blow sand clear on the other side. I'm thinking maybe I should have gone with the smaller model, this is the 6214 and its a beast.

I'll try contacting Roger. I contacted CoralEuphoria on his youtube channel and he said the 6214 makes the same noise since day 1 while the smaller model quieted down after a couple days.

I have used both the large and small older style Wave boxes and the did not make any noise really.
That's good to know. Maybe it's a water height issue or something. I'll contact Tunze and troubleshoot today.

So during my wiring and pump management madness I lost the english version of the instructions and just went off the pictures in the other language manual.

I missed the part where it has to be in a corner *so it is not allowed to move. I've pressed it up against my overflow to wedge it in there and while I can still hear water swooshing into it the weird mechanical echo it had before is gone. It no longer jolts and rattles either.
I initially left it off the overflow because I thought that would result in a rattle or more noise but not the case. Still audible but much much better now.
