Hi all,
I have this cleaner shrimp that has been problematic to feed. It sometimes takes flakes, sometimes eats a bit of nori that's meant for the turbos and pitho crab. It has not taken to pellets at all. I believe it would like mysis or brine, but I don't feed mysis in this tank. I would love to trade it for almost anything (zoa, shroom, frag, whatever), as it cost $30 from ReefCleaners, but barring that I just want him rehomed ASAP, because I finally caught him and have him sitting in this tupper.
Long story short, came home and it was going to town on a nerite snail. Don't know if the nerite was alive or dead already, but I took it that the shrimp is not getting enough to eat in my tank and should find a new home. Shame, as I could sometimes get him to eat a flake right out of my fingers. But better somewhere that he/she can be fed, fat and happy.
Shrimp is from ReefCleaners. Had it in my Evo 13.5g since mid-March. Tank also has two clowns since Oct 2021. Never had signs of ich or other fish disease in the tank. RE: ich from encrusted corals/plugs, the last coral/invert introduced was in Feb, but that was a BTA. Last coral with skeleton or plug was in Jan.
