I say only out if it’s completely dead.

I would clip off the dead branch as close to the flesh as possible. Fingers crossed

Don’t give up, you never know! I had a cherry bomb frag die, I left it and it seems to be making a come back. Had to cut some pieces around it since it was getting shaded.

Clip the white branch off and you should be okay. You're still in the race
