It depends. Are you planning to have a water station? How far is it from water source? How many GPD are you planning? RODI are basically the same in my opinion, just how many stages you plan to have. Most will have a sediment block with a couple carbon blocks, and then into RO filter…then DI resin blocks.

Like others have said they are all the same. The housings are generic and whats inside is what counts. The only thing to consider is how many GPD and how many stages. Get whatever system you think will work best for your needs and budget and if you want to change the GPD all you have to do is swap membranes and flow restrictors.
As far as the membranes go make sure to get good American, or other first world made membranes, it really does make a difference(I tried a Chinese one and never got below 50ppm). Dow membranes are supposed to be the best.
Any single membrane over 75gpd is starting to push out of the RO realm and into just fine micron filtering. If you need more than 75GPD then multiple membranes is a better than a single high flow membrane. FWIW I use a 7 stage 50GPD system and have enough water production to cover my needs of 60 or so gallons a week for top off and water changes. I just keep in mind that if my barrel runs low to turn the system on before I go to bed so it will be full in the morning.
Spectapure makes good filters and there is also a company called AirWaterIce.com that have good options. If you want to talk to the people that really know their stuff and can point you in the best direction for your needs you can talk directly to the engineers at Spectapure (480)894-5437 where they even have a person who is dedicated to water purification systems for aquariums.
FWIW I was having issues with high silicates in my product water even though I was showing 0 TDS on my meter. This is all of the information and the resources that I was able to come up with when I did a deep dive to fix the issue. I now have true 0 TDS RODI on my ICP tests.

I run a hybrid 7 stage system based on the BRS unit. Sediment >two carbon blocks (1 micron universal blocks or matrix chloraguard) booster pump with auto flush > 2 geek pure 75gpd membranes (from Amazon) > Spectrapure mega maxcap > 2 silica busters (high capacity). I only replace the 1st silica buster when it expires, then move the 2nd (last stage) into that spot and add a new silica on the end. The mega maxcap usually lasts a few cycles before it needs to be replaced, about a year. I never measure 1 TDS on any of the DI stages. The 2nd silica buster (last stage) is there to catch anything the 1st one misses or I don’t change in time. I change the sediment and carbon blocks when the sediment filter starts to change color, which usually is 2 cycles of the silica buster swap.
Hopefully this all makes sense? I think I could get by with just 2 DI stages, but I like that I have a little safety built in.

7 stage, you won’t regret it. It pays for it self in water quality, and not having to take trips to the LFS.
