What did you do to your tank today?

I pulled my stand pipe and drained the over flow, which was filled with detritus and algea, and did a water change. Im amazed at how much build up was in the over flow. Also took the top of my bio pellet reactor and cleaned the reactor screen, that sits in the chamber.

Change the colors of my wall and ended up having to do some wire management. Sucks DA is not around but my system been solid since 2003.

Time add another DI unit and change out all filters. Got all my filter replacements at a local shop called LiquidGen in Corona.

I just got out of the hospital with an allergic reaction and rash so reluctant to put my hands in the tank for now. So I cleaned my tank with these full arm gloves. I should tell amazon to add "fish tank work" to the cattle, sheep, pig list of animals these are for.

I need to remove a bunch of hair algae I been battling like dinos for quite some time. I caved in and decided to buy a UV sterilizer. A bunch of my macros took off.

Allergic reaction to a drug. Not from my tank. should have been more clear. I did bunch of work in the tank today without gloves and seemed ok. Now I have really long gloves in case a horse goes in labor near by I guess.

Trying to get motivation again in the hobby I cleaned out the refugium section and added a spray bar to get chaeto to roll but also prevent the detritus build up in that section again.

Reef burnout is real. Take some baby steps (cleaning out fuge, clean skimmer cup, clean the glass), and soon you realize it adds up to a big step. I think meeting with other reefers would be great to get that motivation back. I know when I see another reefer's tank, it gives me more fire to make my tank better. Or just talk with other reefers and seeing what they are doing. I'm always trying new things. Grow some baby brine shrimp or pods. Keep it different.

Yeah 100% agree. I actually saw your thread and got some of my motivation back as your tank is looking awesome.
