Losing my $150 wrasse but my $50 one lives...

Having to give it up, selling nearly everything and then realizing that you really love having a tank and so does your family.

Aside from that, the overall cost and that there is more time involved in maintaining that enjoying sometimes.

Buying stuff I think I want, then leaving it sit in pieces in the garage.
Trying to get a handle on the red slime without constant dosing of Red slime remover, and not having a clue to what I'm doing.
