What is this brown stuff all over my corals

Hello fellow reefer,
Looking for some help identifying this reddish brown stuff all over my rock\corals. It seems to be spreading on this 1 particular rock. Iam also seeing this on my frammers. Does anyone know what this is and how to get rid of it? Should i just take a toothbrush and brush it off? Much appreaciate it...

agreed, looks like cyano.
you should try to suck out as much as you can while you do a water change and watch to see how fast it comes back

If it's fluffy and not slimy it might be a sponge too.

Sometimes I get sponges that grow in between my zoas polyps and what I do is get a soft make up brush and softly brush it off. You can buy make up brushes at the dollar tree or 99 cent store

Sponge. Some grow slow some fast. I put mine in sump as cryptic filter.
