Hey guys I have this red encrusting stuff growing in my tank and don't really know what it is. I checked my water and everything seemed to be fine, even did another water change. Fish seem fine and corals are thriving. Any one here know and have a way of getting rid of it?

Looks like coraline algae. Good to have growing.
I know the stuff below it is coraline algae but this stuff just seems more red than purple and kinda looks like a dark red monti cap of some sort. I have other coraline algae in my tank I haven't seen it grow like this though.

I thought you were talking about the red stuff below what you marked. The purple stuff that you marked could be a photosynthetic sponge, or macroalgae like Omar said.

Is it soft to the touch? Sort of blubbery? I had something like that growing under my rock. It felt...icky. Like really rubbery.
