It is short, dark green color and hard to remove even though i tried to remove it with a toothbrush. Its slow grow, pictures are taken 2 months apart. Turbo / Trochus / Astrea snails / hermit crab / fish dont help. I suspected it’s hair algae but not sure.
Thanks everyone!

Tuxedo urchins or turbo snails will help with this.
Turbot snails i have them for 2 weeks. But didnt see much improvement. and i dont like urchines b/c of the frags plug in my tank :(

Prolly a type of turf algae since none of the snails touch it
Any suggestions to remove it? It slowly growing on other rocks too.

You can try astraea and cerith snails. I have tuxedos and they only carry the loose frags and if you get some smaller ones, less likely they'll carry anything big away. Bristletooth tangs will go after this algae, but that depends how big your tank is? One spot foxface is another great algae eater, but again, tank size matters here. But, honestly, tuxedos will destroy this stuff, so there's a tradeoff here.

+1 on turf algae. I had this and a red/maroon color turf algae in my old tank years ago. and nothing would eat it lol. I did add a tuxedo urchin, a scopus tang and all kinds of cleanup crew and went to town on it and knocked it way way down but nothing 100%.

at one point in that tank I way over doses Mag and was at close to 1600. Not long after the turf algae died off. Im not sure it’s related but I thought it may be worth more research.

I think out of what I added the urchin did the best work if that helps any in your decision.

the nuclear option: remove and replace any rock with it- or remove rocks and dip in H2o2 to kill algae. But these are not always practical solutions for most established tanks.

Good luck my friend
