What pump do you use for your water mixing station?

I am wondering what kind of pump people are using for their mixing station. One site recommended the same as the return pump for the display tank. Since the one I have is variable speed and submersible, I didn't know if that would work outside the trash cans and on/off only needed.

It depends on what you plan to do. Will you want to refill tank with pumps, if so how far is it? If it’s just mixing, just do a circulation pump like a Tunze

Moving water about 25 feet from RO/DI trash can to Salt Water trash can. The AWC is handled by dosing pump. Thought about figuring out a way to recirculate the salt for mixing in the one container also.

Than you’ll need a decent pump to move that water. Get something of decent quantity, because it will be something that is being turned off and not in use for days or weeks.

I've used a 800-1200gph pump to move rodi to salt mixing bin, then a tunze 6045 circulating pump for salt mixing.

When I built out my mixing station, I was very tempted to go with a Vectra, but to save money (after buying storage containers and all the fittings) ended up with a Danner pump. I hate it... its so loud and vibrates a lot. my Vectra in my tank runs so quiet. But I also looked at Iwaki, Pan World and Reef Octopus. If I had to buy one again, Id probably go with any besides Danner, depending on the size needed and funds available.

I say it depends on how much water you need to push and if noise is a concern. If this was in a basement or garage, then I would go with an Iwaki since AC power can push a lot of water a long distance. If it is just short run or near the tank, then any pump will do. you would probably prioritize noise.
