What's my clown doing?

My male clown has been non stop doing this for last 4 hours in the same spot.... Am I in for a nice treat?

You'll see them. They could be just practicing. May take a few times. They'll clean the area really well.

+1, it's true and my with my damsels the eggs are TINY, but you could still barely see them. they did it on the first try lol

Anything I can do to help? Should I leave lights on?
every so often my female clown will come by and swim really slow in front of the rock for a few seconds then slowly swim away...

He's cleaning the area up for her, enticing her, luring her into his home... she's lay eggs and he'll kick her out and do his thing and then watch over the eggs...

Update: woke up to no surprise... But the female clown is still checking out the area and swimming slowly on the area that the male clown has been preparing... Hopefully they put some work in today while I'm at work..

How long does it usually take for the female to lay eggs? She has been hoovering right in front of the rock that the male was preparing just starring and looking.... For the last 4 hours
