Should hitch a ride with someone and split the cost or Uber in. If y’all joined SCMAS @$30/year you get to go in free for free
But joining is $30. Buying a ticket is $30.

Parking would've been free?

Am I missing something.

If you Uber, as he suggested, you wouldn’t need to park.
no shit man. was trying to clarify that if we would have joined, the annual fee is equivalent to the entrance fee so it'd be 30 regardless. wanted to clarify if being a member would somehow get free parking.

it was a simple question.

I guess I’m just dumb and don’t understand anything.

If you want to go both days you’ll save $30 but if you go only one day it’s a wash. Geez I didn’t realize parking was so much. I’ll have the wife drop me off lol.

There are incentives to joining SCMAS, other than free entry to RAP. It's just one of the perks. Other perks included and mentioned in this thread, are for participating members... those that attend meetings and volunteer their time for other functions.

I’m looking forward to the meetings, are they going to be all virtual from now on?

As I mentioned, this is my first RAP. I'm window shopping for my calcium reactor set up.

Does this event give discounts on hardware? Do vendors prefer cash?

I haven't really seen any discounts on hardware but you might get lucky. Vendors are all set up for wireless transactions these days.

Yes, it just depends on the vendors. Some are going to be more willing to do so than others.

Sadly everone has to pay for parking, SCMAS members, vendors and even the event organizers. The city and hotels are greedy.

Someone mentioned about carpooling to save on parking or parking away from the area. All good ideas but I'm lazy so unfortunately I'm paying for parking. Just trying to figure out what day I want to attend.
I hope all I spend are the raffle ticket and maybe 1 frag.
