Who would of thought that one day you could buy fish and corals cheaper at a brick and mortar store. Then on hobbies forum.

Pretty sad

Some might say “but Eric hobbies take care of there specimens better.” To this I call “Bulls***”. When I aefw where did I get them from? Umm a hobbies. When I got monti eating nudis where did they come from? A effin hobbies. When I had a polyclad flatworm infestations where did they come from? A..... nope that was from a store.

I’m just saying what the hell happened wasn’t a hobbies about growing nice specimens and enjoying your tank. Not

That's what it has turned in to. Everyone wants to be Jason Fox and they try to charge Jason fox prices. I'm not saying that people should sell their 800.00 frags for 5.00 but man, this hobby has really changed. I've often wondered what Mike would think of the hobby today. He never or very rarely sold from his tank. Most of the time he traded or just gave stuff away.

Yep! He gave me a lot of free frags when I got back in after my divorce.

Dam when I broke down my 300 I gave away most of my fish to friends I trusted. Because I had them so long that I thought of them not as fish but more as members of my family. Who could sale there family! My wife was so devastated when I broke down that tank. She said “you can’t take down your tank all the fish were named by the kids.” To this day she still misses here purple tang (Ariel).
We all know certain corals that grow like weeds that end up turning into nuisance corals that you end up ripping out and trashing cause you can’t even give away. I see people now trying to sell them nuisance corals for I marked up price. I laugh and think wtf.
