Whos using ai apps for reefing

I rely on Grok to manage my reef and my personal life. So far, I have only lost my life savings and those I hold dearest to me. However, my reef has never looked better, a small price to pay... I am obviously kidding, I wouldn't touch Grok with a ten foot pole.
I sometimes use Gemini to help me interpret ICP results or help calculate manual dosing corrections when adjustments are needed.
I don't use any of the new AI reefing apps like Reefability, Reef Trak, or ReefMind. I personally do not trust them and don't want to get sucked into paying for yet another subscription. There's no telling how long these apps will be around, or how reliable they are. Someone's paying for the token costs to analyze the controller logs, test results, etc. Right now AI companies are losing money on LLMs, which is great for the consumer (us) since the cost of this compute is being subsidized by someone else. What happens when that changes, and all of a sudden the $5/mo subscription balloons to $20, $30, or even $40/mo instead. The tool that you relied on to offload analysis now becomes too expensive to justify.
Not to mention that these AI tools can often hallucinate, I don't see a reason why these AI Reefing apps wouldn't do the same when they rely on the same underlying technology. They can recommend some weird stuff that is non-sensical at times. And when the reefing AI app recommends dosing corrections or automated actions that crash your reef tank, who is liable? Who is to blame at that point? Surely not the AI reefing app.
Others may argue, isn't getting reefing advice from the internet no different? And I would say no, there is discretion when getting advice from strangers on the internet. You know who the reputable sources are, they have years of experience and their tanks speak for themselves. The problem with AI recommending actions, is that it is a black box. There's no telling why the magic box told you dose 100g of ammonium bicarb instead of 40g. No one to blame but yourself for following the computers advice. If you were to make a catastrophic mistake at work due to AI, your boss isn't going to blame the AI that made the recommendation, they're going to have your butt for not catching the mistake. In the end, a human needs to be in the loop to validate the potential garbage that the AI spits out.

I’ve tried a few but they all have a pay wall for the better features. I’m curious about what people are using as well.
I agree with mescobar. You can ask ChatGPT to calculate certain dosing schedules or amounts and it is off a lot of the time. I don’t trust it for those level of items.
From a design standpoint though I did find it beneficial to use ChatGPT to help render different ideas to get better visuals of what the outcome might be.
