They would avoid wanting a sponsor if they thought or knew that they would not be compensated adequately, (per thier definition)

OR, if they have another sponsor that does not want competition, and they have a long history / reputation with that certain other forum...

Anti competition clauses exhist and are legal.

My exprience is with stores in shopping malls, they can negotiate a lot of stuff into the contract, such as location, do not allow certian other types of stores in this area or worse yet, o be placed at or near otehr stores that sell similar products, and have higher advertising costs, and so on and so on...

terms like oligopoly conspiracy are deinately a lot to think about in situations like that and what you describe...

Why would you say a forum would avoid allowing CFC to become a sponsor?
I've inquired about becoming a sponsor at a *certain* forum every few months for about a year now. No reply. I've asked the mods to check into it - they'll say they'll check it out - and then.. no reply.

Weird, we’ve never had issues getting sponsorship info front any forum. We are planning to sponsor RC in a few months once everything is settled. But I hear ya about posting too much on RC now. I don’t know how many times I’ve typed out something and then just deleting it.

On thing everyone has to remember RC is a huge community and things can get out of hand real fast. To keep order you have to enforce the rules of the forum to the dot. Once you give a bit people tend to push for more.

I vote to change this forum to “RCReject.com”

I can tell!!! I been out of the circuit for more then a month, and I just find out about this site this weekend.

Seems like no one was too eager to let me in on the little secret..

I was just waiting patiently for a period of time to see if I could get back on to RC, (only to visit the So Cal forum), cause I miss you all.
