Alright reefers after almost 4 years out of the hobby im ready to jump back in .I was thinking of purchasing a similar dimension tank (24x24x24) as i previously had since i still have all the equipment and will help me with cost .While looking at the waterbox aquariums i noticed the 24' and the 36" long tanks are only a couple hundred dollar difference and we always want to go bigger .My plan as far as lighting was to use my xr30 radion pro .

Long story short my question is, if i plan to keep mixed reef including sps and i just bite the bullet and buy the 36" long tank instead of the 24". Do you guys think one radion xr30 will be sufficient to light the 36" tank if i add the 36" aquatic life T5 hybrid fixture .

I understand the radion is ment to cover roughly 24".So the last 6" of the tank will have very little light on both sides . I was thinking maybe keep zoas or low light coral of those ends .

Id like to get some feedback see what you guys think.
Thanks in advanced .

If you decide to go 36” long look at the noopsyche hybrid lights that radion can cover just need to place corals a certain way and raise the lights.

I have a 36/30/20 tank lit by a single Mitra LED unit. The spread between a mitra and radion are the same, so it comes down to what corals you want and how you place it.

I think so far they are great still figuring it out they are great because you can angle the t5 for the same price point as the aquaticlife and are linkable with those k7 led pucks to get the kessil shimmer
