Nice fish and other wrasses too. I wonder if he is picking up your zoa plugs and turning them over to look for food? My yellow wrasse turns over all the rocks he can pick up with his mouth.

I've had a juvenile yellow coris wrasse for some months (actually almost a year). When do these things change color?

I had a pair of these yellow coris wrasse. One was a super male, with all sorts of line and color on his head. The other is just a plain yellow female. The male jumped out after several years but the female never turned into a male. I don't think it's like a wrasse that will change gender. The adult female color is just all yellow.

Haven't seen him do that but then again I'm not around all the time to see, he might cause he's always everywhere.

I've never heard of a super male yellow corris wrasse. Are u sure it wasn't another species. There is a yellow wrasse that looks similar to the corris that has green stripes on its face.

I will have to find the old photo of it, but the following pictures show the head coloration and body shape of a male yellow coris wrasse

OK I'll let you know. Give me a couple weeks. I'll also have a purplish blue fairy wrasse with a bit of orange on the top fin you can have as well. No idea what wrasse it is and pics don't come out cuz its a blue color.

I'll be interested in the purple-blue wrasse also. I bought a yellow wrasse and radiant wrasse almost 3 weeks ago. Both went into the sand bed. The yellow came out after a few days and is an active swimmer. The radiant has yet to be seen :(
I have a 150g tank with tight lids so I know it didn't jump.
